For the Kids at Home

by Howard F Farewell

Sitting down
Or should I say lying down on the couch
(he is after all paying by the hour)
Is it twice a week now?
He stammers, spews, and floods the airwaves
 Deep dark,
      secrets,
         problems,
      anxiety,
         phobias,
My parents never loved me
        Selfish comes up
Its really not the right word
And to paraphrase a better writer
It’s the one that comes up first
    At home
  Sitting this time
Blogwhineramblyblog
   I’m so …
        I hate my…
            Things aren’t…

I drove past starving children 3 days ago
Who’s only way to say they were hungry was motioning their hands to their mouths as we passed
Their homes a 30 by 30 mud rock hut
Look around your room again
   Blogwhineyblogramblybitch

Pitiful
          to paraphrase again
    Its not the right word
But it sure sounds like it fits
