Your Vision

by David R Spellman

I can only watch
as you search the sky,
wondering what you read
in the clouded tea leaves
of cumulus passings or
discern from the lack of any.

At night, the stars that shine
you try to fathom, to see
what message they hold,
what mystery might be revealed
in the depth of their fading light.

How can one read the mind
that looks to unveil what
isn’t really there, that
can’t be seen except by
viewing with clearer vision.

With the sunrise you shuddered,
as if revelation came to you
suddenly exposed in its full glory,
an indelible imprint left for us
to behold in the simple moment
of pleasure; a wonder that
we haven’t seen it all along.

Beautiful (pardon the pun) observation and interaction piece David. Well done!
