Spring Chimes

by Chris Sorrenti

no equivalent
when the sun sets ever later
in a May evening
and all the troubles of the day
have been put behind
when a warm wind rustles playful
yet sweetly
amid the chimes
hanging above a neighbor’s door

that is my favourite time lately... when the sun is setting, and you put your troubles away... beautiful imagery... blessings...

a perfect capture of the moment... or of may... or of today, minus the work part... put excellently chris!

Though brief this poem is full of warmtn and good cheer. I could feel the relaxed atmoshere, the pleasantness of unwinding and enjoying an evening at home.

Your poem is gret but I had to laugh, becaus my neighbour has a chime on his porch which is all but gone but one bell. IT rings by my bedroom window and keeps me up annoyingly. Next time I hear it I will recite your poem aloud and drown out the sound! I of course agree with Reen's comments.
