Gator Aid

by Charles E Minshall

"I'll take you across the river."
Said the gator to the guy.
"Just sit here on my back,
When we cross you'll stay dry."
But he was lying through his teeth,
It's just as wet inside
As it is beneath.

Ahh, I think I've heard a similar tale before (involving other animals), but yours is oh-so-very-good. :)

Charlie, maybe I should have read this the other night when I was feeling a bit down. You are a master of wit and dry humor! CHOMP! ;-)
