Tribute-ary by Leslie Ann EisenbergJazzy gab, side-a mirth, backdrop
Essence of bluegrass and home fries.
Steelheart arms traverse the birdwire,
Southern fingers rim the river,
Effluent petals spread the sky

Posted by Michelle Angelini on 04/23/05 at 06:39 PM Leslie, I enjoyed reading this down-home verse. I, too, do know know who it's a tribute too, but the assonance and consonance move the lines, making me feel as if there should be a banjo accompanying the reading and reminding me of Kentucky. Good work!
