perfect imperfection

i wonder who goosed your gander
made you wanna slap and slander
me?
the bestest i can figger
is somehow, i caused yo' trigger
finger to itch.
seems to me as though you jes'
read one poem an' not the rest
of mine.
'cause some of mine are pretty good,
judgin' words from others, i would
call compliments.
but, i gotta confess, i got venom too,
and sent a little back at you ...
though i'm not proud.
i s'pose i should quit if'n i can't take the heat,
pack it in, blow the bugle in retreat.
but i won't.
instead of that, i'll try again, and even more,
try not to be a literary whore,
and just write for me.
and if'n you like some and not all,
then great!, and you can call
me: a guy who tries.
i got friends, could always use others,
so send me sisters, send me brothers ...
got room for you, too.

Too bad for him. But I bow to your moderation of irkedness and confirm that I too have thought lately that I must write for me. But it is only human to want feedback, after all, this IS a community... we would be awfully stonelike if we didn't care... So you are a little whorey, what the hell.
