loblolly

by Ulyss Rubey

You try to pen it.
The mind only worms around feelings.
The poet goes mad
in a maze of embedded expressions.
Mediocrity envades through the
gates of education in Trojan memories,
and art looses another battle
with the force of experience.

The title lured me in and the poem delivered in exemplary fashion, Uly. This may be your most though provoking piece yet. But I can't help wondering if the second line is looking for one more word or one word less. pe4ce...

Yes, a very strong, thought provoking expression on the pitfall of being a writer/artist.
