Catharsis by Andrew S Adamswe are at a catharsis as
the airplane roars past-
a symphony-
ready to reach the runway
on it's final descent;
monuments will fall
inside there will be a
crumbling of these
sacred shrines and
finally, after
years of
planning and
determination,
we will finally hear the
visceral vibrato of the violin
the symphony will
rise and fall,
and it will cleanse us-
soon we will be pure and
ready to understand that
we are not a part of
ourselves, we are only
bodies used as vessels
until the last breathless moments
when the air is calm,
and the rain slowly
washes past and a
haze of mist gathers on the wind
then.
we will breathe as
finally,
this catharsis subsides
and this airplane
can

Posted by Michelle Angelini on 05/05/05 at 10:22 PM Andrew, this is outstanding! Some pretty mind-blowing thoughts here. I like the analogy of an airplane landing to death. An approach I've never seen before.
