Life Goes Down

by Jersey D Gibson

In my eyes,
input is down.
In my viens,
fade away.
In my heart,
output is gone.
In my soul,
raped away.

The infection has spread,
with no slowing down.
The rejection has spread,
with no falling down.
The conviction has spread,
with no pardon now.

The best you can do is label me?

No more eyes,
to see the truth.
No more ears,
to hear the proof.
No more life,
to hold onto.
No more soul,
what I've gone through.

The infection has spread,
has finally taken over.
The rejection has spread,
has finally taken over.
The conviction has spread,
has finally taken over.

The best you can do is bury me?

Jersey, your poems often hit me as something that should be put to a tune. This poem hits me as sad, angry and eerie all at the same time. Great stuff for music. ~~ Kyle Anne
