Wind's Kisses

by Tricia Marie Miel

I blew you a kiss
But, curse my aim, I missed!
And so this kiss floated,
Carried by the breeze
To a distance unknown
Until I forgot about the kiss I'd blown.

Eternity unfolded its wings
Then, season after season
I'd feel something tickle my cheek for no reason
I didn't understand then
That in missing you, I kissed the wind.

Now, I steal a smile
For although sometimes the skies stretch in miles of gray,
The wind kisses my cheek
With a blown promise that seems to say
"You are beloved everyday."

Wow, this is simply so beautiful, so well done. It dances and sings and yes that kiss of yours upon the wind will return to your cheek, wrapping you up in the very vibrations you have spun and given so willingly, so selflessly...absolutely lovely. High marks :-)
