realization

by Kimberly Bare

i have stood at the edge of the ocean
and felt the calling of the tide
i have watched the wings of a bluebird
spread and fluttering in flight

beauty is the nature of the heart
and rarely seen the same
i've held glimpses of that beauty
long before i knew your name

i have stood at the top of a mountain
an felt the wind rush by
i have watched the tiniest of sparrows
soar across the sky

treasure is the venture of the mind
and rarely ever gold
i've found the truest of all treasures
i already hold

Yes, the treasure is there where one IS. Nice piece.

Some good spiritual lines here. I especially like the strong closeout in the last two. :o)
