Copacetic

by Maureen Glaude

How easily
with less reticence
she now relents
to letting things,
little and large, go.

She’s surer of life’s openings,
confident opportunites that should,
will return again in their
moment of rightness.

With conflicts of priorities
it’s a smoother drop these days
of one or the other
as she concedes
“can’t do and have it all, at once
nor please every master, so
just trust in return engagements.

Go with the flow,” as
he used to say, and then
everything’s copacetic.

LOL...there's that word again, though not surprising you little note taker you. I really like the "not to worry, things always tend to work themselves out" tone of this. Great lines also: will return again in their moment of rightness.

This pome tells me forcefully that aging and experience teaches us to "let go". Not everything can be done that needs to be done and everything is not a catastrophe about to happen.

Just to say, I agree with Chris on this (My last comment got eaten...)
