Juggle by Madeline PestolesiMy feelings for you held aloft
Tossed intermittently between
The balancing act:
Of School.
Of exams.
Of work.
Of an almost non-existent social life.
So many balls in the air,
And not enough hands to hold them all,
I'm forced to fling them all up in turn.
Hoping to maintain my grasp
On the two I can hold at a time
In my cracked and bleeding fingers. 02/23/2005 Posted on 02/23/2005 Copyright © 2025 Madeline Pestolesi

Posted by Sarah Graves on 02/25/05 at 10:08 PM Yes, I can relate to this one being a student myself. I don't know who exactly you're talking to, but I've thought the same things before. Great work.. |
Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 02/26/05 at 09:39 PM I see two poems here. The first stanza is one in need of its own title. The second stanza easily stands as the whole poem as marked by the title. |
Posted by Quinlan L Gibson on 02/26/05 at 10:41 PM Ugh, does it ever end? This is a great description of this torture of priorities and lifestyle. Nice! |
