On The Brink Of Sanity

by Jersey D Gibson

Everything makes sense during total confusion.

Nothing ever comes down in a linear order.

Life holds no straight lines or action plans.

Things don't gradually happen to you.

If something goes wrong, it is never small or simple.

History never favors rule-followers or the meek.

Chances are, your life is already over, you just don't know it.

The end never comes with a fade out.

You'll never win the girl and ride off into the sunset.

The idiot lights on your car come on when nothing's wrong.

Things needed to be done today, put off for tomorrow, will hit you like a ton of bricks.

Your medication isn't really helping you, it's a money making placebo.

God doesn't know everything, but He knows more than you do.

Author's Note: Who's ever heard of 'Joe, the Law-abiding citizen' or 'the woman who always did right'? Yeah, I didn't think so.

One of your best so far Jers'. Worthy exercise in sarcasm and cynicism in response to the human condition.
