ahh, to be loved

by Charlie Morgan

when i see my toothbrush
laden with Crest
and then it explodes
in my mouth like an A-bomb test;

and those days you're too busy
to take my call
and i shrug and smile
at the pith of it all;

still, i'm nudged by your intent
to make It right,
whatever the cause
or ever the blight.

a spinnaker of direction
to your young yearling
you stand poised and ready
with your Love endearing.

Poignant, timeless. Who can't relate to this in some way???

I absolutely adore "...the pith of it all". I had forgotten all about that word!
