Gorgeous Mourning

by Trisha De Gracia

Poignant little petal blooms,
erupting with a suffering joy,
bleed a rich dark psalm for me.

Like sunbursts from skins of a lily,
so too do these stargazer dreams
fade out near their edges.

And I
the brittle sepal seep
reprise.

This is tightly woven and beautifully rendered. Great job.
