Earthquakes

by Bek Williams

With every step that I take
I feel so much weaker
And every move that I make
Makes me feel so much worse

If I could tell you the truth
I would feel so much better
If I could let you know
What causes my pain
This grief won't go away

Chorus:
Cos the earthquakes
Are tearing us apart
I can feel it in my heart
And I want my fantasy to be real

And no one knows
The pain that goes down
When no one is around
I will steal away
Into my hiding place

All night I stood outside
I was calling your name
Vicious words cost me my pride
And you knew it just the same

I thought things would get better
The second time around
Somehow they just got worse
Somehow I have to be found

Chorus:
Cos the earthquakes
Are tearing us apart
I can feel it in my heart
And I want my fantasy to be real

And no one knows
The pain that goes down
When no one is around
I will steal away
Into my hiding place

I'd love to hear the melody. You captured a part of the human experience very well here.
