Seasonal Spirits

by Maureen Glaude

Listen for your unseen guests
amid the season’s rustles.
Watch for their delight
as they join in the hustle-bustle,
for they’re celebrating too.

Sharers in the Mystery
your angels, ghosts and spirits
reunite with you
from year-to-year.

Earth’s time-race pace inhibits
but these kin know when to return
carrying peace to lend.

Welcome their shoulder pats and hugs,
honour the reminscent tugs,
bask in the sky-candled glow,
let your passion for them show,
for they’re your eternal beloveds -
as you know.

Thanks for the reminder that loved ones, perhaps guardian angels of a different sort, are with us all year round, but especially this time of year, celebrating along with us.
