FRAIL

by Melissa Arel

How deeply frail I am -
Your beauty slays my bones
Reconciling dust, broken and blameless
Like holy bread and wine.
Your habitation strips my soul bare
Revealing precious life, chastened
By Your right hand it speaks
Of unrestrained peace.
Musing melts into supplication,
Purifying my tongue Your vindication
Heals my refined heart like silver.
Oh I sought You Lord, indeed
With prayerful tears and You answered me
Yes, You answered me with love.
