Posted by Rula Shin on 12/06/04 at 02:27 AM This drawing of yours, as you well know, has greatly captivated me...the light will never meet the dark, and this is the very majesty and beauty of the light, its eternal presence...the only tragedy is not realizing that it lies within our selves, the tragedy is when we seek to find it outside ourselves...beautiful and brilliant as always Ashok. |
Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 12/06/04 at 06:05 PM But there again, does light not transform into darkness and vice versa? Thought provoking combo you and Rula have going Ashok. |
Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 12/07/04 at 12:19 PM This philosophical poem reminds me of the verses in St. John's Gospel. "In him was life, {speaking of Jesus}and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." (John 1:4, 5) |

Posted by Michelle Angelini on 12/08/04 at 10:53 PM Ashok, just wonderful and after reading Rula's I had to read this. Both are terrifc companion works. Your words illuminate me, my friend. Write on... |

Posted by Kara Hayostek on 12/09/04 at 08:00 PM Ashok, your drawings are great, you should have a calender made. |
Posted by Sarah Graves on 12/10/04 at 03:05 AM You have some very metaphysical ideas in this piece with light and darkness. I also think of good and evil in which evil will always hide to not be exposed but the good will always seek to expose it's ills. I really enjoyed reading this along with the visual aid.. or vice versa. |
