Seed of Faith

by Rula Shin

Journeying through this turbulent world
on these sturdy wings of fragile dreams
tending together the garden of life
from which raw hopes begin to grow

The very first seed of Faith is planted
within our earthly mothers
and born to our devoted fathers

Together, mother and father are
Wind and Wing

Nicely captures both the fragility and strength of the human condition. I especially like the idea expressed in those last two lines Rula.

When love and hope meet they contract into a seed of faith, capable of 'Journeying through this turbulent world on these sturdy wings of fragile dreams tending together the garden of life from which raw hopes begin to grow' Oh! you said it all. My hearty congratulations to kara and your blood brother Joe.

Rula, this is beautiful and quite a moving tribute to you new niece. Proud aunts get to strut a little, so go ahead. I love the whole poem, but the last two lines are just awesome.

Very touching and also very profound. Simple words carrying such enormous meaning is proof to their depth. Very nicely done.
