Secret Diamond

My gem in the rough;
You gleam forever through
The fog of an unlived life
And promise is alive
When I behold you
You are my inspiration;
You bend my head and
Heart to poetry when prose demands
Attention from my scattered days.
You are the reason
I still believe in Faith
You are the light that keeps on shining;
The golden teardrop glow
Flickering in my broken window;
I may be quiet and sane without you
But without you I am lacking
