7:47 by Megan LangleyClock emitting a green glow
Announcing time
Neither proudly nor hatefully
"7:47," it simply says
a.m. or p.m.?
matters not
This over-inhabited planet
continuing to revolve until...
"Who knows when?"
"Not I," answers the clock. "I merely tell the time.
It is you who must worry. While time remains immortal,
you will pass with the daily changes."
This off-the-wall tangent
ends
Before the clock even
changes
