I rarely speak about this when around
but I must tell you now

I believe there is a God who

Created the expansive sky
Set every scientific law into action
Gave the sun an ounce of His brilliance
Created the earth out of nothing
Set the rivers on their course
Gave the mountains magnificent peaks
Created thousands of species
Set the oceans within limits
Gave life to all things
Created man and gave him breath
Set a heart in all mankind
Gave us free will to live as we choose
Created a perfect Eden
Set rules and boundaries
Gave us freedom to break them at will

Then
Loved us in our disobedience
Allowed us to live in a fallen world
Saved us when we were outcasts
Loved His only Son, a Triune God
Allowed Him to live on this disobedient planet
Saved mankind by killing the spotless lamb
Loved us and paid for our sin
Allowed the King of Kings to be crucified
Saved us by conquering death

Then He
Arose from the grave
Breaking the curse of death
Giving us the chance to once more
Choose to obey the Living God

And I choose to
Follow Him
Obey Him
Love Him,
The God who formed me in my mother’s womb
Who called me precious and gave me life eternally

He calls you beloved
