These Words Between My Lips by Trisha De GraciaIt had been
smooth flesh
'tween lips so red
in heavy hush
and sleep awaiting
You were holding curves
and shaking
quaking with the feel
of mouth and moist
on your so
creamy milkwhite
skin that held me fixed
with open sighs.
And I
could hold a million stars
inside your eyes
until
they burned
and drizzled out
an aching syrup-
coated all
our fabled romance
dripped each drop upon my tongue
for me to clench and savour...
And I
could write a novel
on that parchment back
you spread upon the sheets
for me-
I'd ink my quill
with palpitations
scrawl abound
and spell each rise and fall
with both our monograms
in red.
It had been
the rush of newborn lust
as old as day to us,
and gaping hearts so ripe and full
and open
yawning
stretching like the sun at dawn
to bring us colours lifting
all climactic
heady velvet violet riot
reaching for the final burst
of scattered scarlet splattered 'cross
our heaving chests
to fade to pink
and then-
to soft,
as daylight sifts and settles
'pon our forms
that twist 'round one another
gleaming in our radiant,
fated
sun.
