My ain true love by Scott CadenceShe gets up at five in the morning everyday
and she is gone before I wake
but her perfume is the first thing I smell
lingering
She pushes my buttons occasionally
to remind me we have a history of peace and tension
but points out her ring to the men at the gas station who hit on her
She still has trouble making the first move after five years
so I have to pay close attention to her hints
but she doesnt mind the monitor light has replaced fireside
She seems most receptive to discussion when sleeping
so I confess on many nights how deep this love is
and she never makes a sound
but I see the comfort in her body and on her face
and I know shes smiling inside
as we do for each other
