To all
its just another autumn day
floating
like leaves
falling off the trees

Never mind the scared little girl
no longer a girl
having been born nearly a quarter century prior
wondering at the crossroads lying ahead
deciding which journey to take
taking this day
this day of new birth
celebrating an old birth
to reflect on years past
and years to come

May she make the right decision
be it easy or not
and may she be happy, healthy and independent
may she be loved and cared about
and may she never ever
die alone
inside
or out
