baby smile by Mary Ellen Smiththe smile of a baby
that crooked first sweet grin.
tis then you really find out just
how much love youve fallen in.
that sparkle in their little eyes
when they answer to your cooing,
thru all the generations past,
a grandparents undoing.
those tiny hands
and wee bit toes,
chubby cheeks
and button nose.
she must be Gods creation!
for how else could it be?
that so much love is wrapped up
in diapers just for me?
