Posted by Maureen Glaude on 08/21/04 at 09:30 PM yeah, sometimes you have to say what do want good grammar or good ...sound? I remember this question brought up by a friend of ours on here, wondering about the English use of these. Clever incorporation into the personal here. Well done. |
Posted by Ashok Sharda on 08/22/04 at 02:20 PM Well, the 'communication' is what matters and that depends not on the grammar but on the word experience and their use. More important is the association with the person in terms of a particular word. A word may sound vulgar if spoken in public but beautiful in private with a person with whome this has a beautiful association. So, You and I , agree to agree on this.Haha |

you and I
his read like a warning label on the side of a carton of what, i don't know, hahaha! seriously, "you and I
work fine together"...this is what good poetry is about, sound language is absolutely more critical than grammar. anyone who has heard poetry read aloud knows what i'm talking about, dangit! |
Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 08/26/04 at 02:34 AM Clever antiestablishment poem! Of course, you hit a nerve in this conservative, "Use English correctly if at all possible" kind of guy! LOL! |

Posted by Joan Serratelli on 03/24/09 at 03:28 PM Very creative piece. I, for one have trouble with the "you and I/me thing". I think everyone does. Good write- very clever! |
