Reminiscent Love by Melissa Arel
I lay in bed as loneliness covers me like a blanket
Remembering the way your hands reached for me
While your lips met mine in heated pursuit
And how your chin, with two-day stubble, would nestle in my neck
Causing my skin to tremble with unbridled sensitivity
Your whispers still echo against these empty walls
Taunting me, tearing me apart
I lay in bed, still feeling your fingers run along the small of my back
Remembering the way you held me captive in your arms
While you softly whispered how much you needed me
Oh, how our souls seemed to fuse every time we made love!
Your whispers still echo against these empty walls
As I lay here in bed, alone.. waiting for your return home.
Forsaking all, but love.
