On nights like these, baby .. I soar.

by Jolie Jordan

The pavement splits my tires as I drive
through these blankets of black
littered with a million diamonds
protruding from the darkness,
covering the sky with glitter

and for a mere moment I wasn't just a molecule-
but miles and miles of distance between here and there,
soaring down the interstellar highway
fueled by much more than just the gas in my tank.

Author's Note: I figured it's been a while since I posted, and I wanted to write something so I don't forget how. ha ha.

Magnifient work Jolie; every single line. And spiritually moving in every sense of the word. May The Force be with you. :o)
