You are mother to this great child toddling around the countryside disinheriting peasants mid-stumble this cherubic Frankenstein's creation breaking from a crushing want from a too-urgent love
You cry at your window because you see all this anguish growing straight out from what you have cradled for so long From what you have fed
this great sadness stamps around fracturing lives
and you were such a caring mother you were but perhaps your child
needs a father Let me
