Born Poet

by Rula Shin

a true poet resides
in the space of non-titles
where only intention matters
without self-promoting proclamation
from either side of the fence

intention seeks no validation nor longs for approval

the art seeker’s observing self
herds his energy surge into focus,
reflecting personal takes on life's implications,
layers in tune with the manifestation of
his basic human urge of
will to meaning

Or maybe it's Maybelline? JK I really liked this poem and the form, its almost like someone looking into a pool of water and seeing his reflection.

Yes, WILL TO MEANING is, in which manifests, the basic human urge of a true artist. NOt in Power as that of a mediocre, nor in pleasure as that of a simpleton. This sensitive being is an observer, ever in quest for the meaning of life, reflecting the contemporary world, without any malice or subjective designs.'a true poet resides in the space of non-titles where only intention matters' where only purpose of life matters. His purpose. And this is always will to a refined survival which manifests in WILL TO MEANING. This is a beautiful and very meaningful piece. I think I am bound to give you full marks, which in pathetic term means: Brilliant, out standing flow, vivid and memorable.

Substance with style...approval being irrelevant, I hope acclamation will be accepted, even if unsought :)

fantastic. A great find as I focus on my projects, Rula. Yes, it's the work clean, apart from the ego and result, that is the key to true art.

life is always for its own sake in spite of all that we heap on her, she is no born camel.

I agree one hundred percent, however I am an insecure hypocrite and the validation is nice sometimes. ;)
