Spirit Guide

by Chris Sorrenti

Build your fire
so that others will see it

Be understood for the person
you truly are

Laugh whenever possible
at the seriousness of life

Don’t let your soul be marooned
in the wasteland of mortality

A favorite of yours, of mine, amazing. In a concise poem it covers so much.

Hi Chris, Good one, Chris. Yes, life is way too short to be soo serious all the time.

So concise and universally true - marks of the classic aphorism. All of them good advice (I especially like the third one - I may even post it over my desk...) excellent! d:-)

This was such a delight! It came right on the heels of reading one of your deeply moving poems- interrupted with a co-worker's red faced and giggly question followed by the explanation of "I was just offered the job of a 'fluffer' making 15-20k a week". I am so ignorant. "Laugh whenever possible
at the seriousness of life"
You are so right! Fluffer job descriptions do me in for sure and your poem was the punctuation! Thanx a million!
