Give me one minute

by Ashok Sharda

in dream you were born
in dream you shall die
give me just one minute
of thoughtless attention,
an alert empty and
watchful mind

one minute seems too short
though long enough for
vibrating energies to
create a magnetic field
where you sense and feel
a peace lying just beneath

two minutes make you euphoric
charged by energies refined
permeating you with bliss
intensifying at the
end of minute three

minute four gives ideas into what is
and lo! here walks in knowing
as if it was always there
if you add a minute

can you give me ten?

by the eleventh you shall be
as I talk to you in silence
defying all the physical distance
between you and me

Lol, I'll give you twelve minutes for this Ashok. Makes me wish we had more time in the day to get to know our fellow mens. And womens.

Now, Ashok. You know time is only a matter of perspective. Hehehe! This is beautiful, and speaks to the power of standing still, the amazement of basking.

“thoughtless attention…alert empty and watchful mind” can reflect an entire lifetime lived in just one moment. “Give me…two…four…can you give me ten?” – can one moment’s lifetime now become ten lifetimes in 10 moments intensified 10 fold from the first!? Oh to go from peace, to bliss, to euphoria and then sublime clarity in only 11 minutes! I give days, months, and years of this earthly time and space to this exercise in hopes of achieving just one of these LIVING moments…for in limits I once thought, and though there may well be limits, I choose to ignore the notion for no such notion ever manifested in triumph…

Wow, it seems like you have a lot to offer in the ways of communication Ashok. I can see this piece floating above a coffee table, setting the mood between you and another person.

Quite the refreshing departure for you Ashok. Lots of nice surprises here lately at Pathetic.

This metaphysical treatise in brief starts with attention grabbing contradictions. Miracles in ten minutes!!! Fast worker! Hahaha! Enjoyed the read!

WOW! Just 10 minutes...if we all took that much time to communicate with each other, from the heart..the possibilities are endless. Excellent poem, Ashok, you touch my heart with your words.

i want to cry to... ashok... this is a beautiful plea... i'm not even sure exactly how to comment to this, but suffice it to say it has touched me deeply, as i believe it has and will touch others... how could anyone deny you a minute, maybe twelve, with words such as these streaming through... you continually amaze me with your insight to the human mind... blessings, my friend... and thank you, for all that you do...

So - a closet Lothario huh? I guess this is playful - time definitive, and distance immeasurable. A 'new' dream :> Pure pleasure - a favourite.

All of your writing is intellectually challenging to me. This piece is so well thought out written. I loved it.

With a mind like yours I would give you as many minutes as you'd like. Great write.
