I once tried language
to link me to a shy man

set free the pages of my heart
to give to him to take home
and learn me with his eyes
without mine watching

screening for us
my fear of rejection
and the desperateness of hope

later, he took my hands
unfolded them in his

and confessed
he was not a word man

Oh yeah, I certainly remember those last two lines; great closure. This reflects wonderfully on hope in general and the chances we take with others and ourselves when looking for that someone special. Excellent choice Mo for the next issue of We Are TOPS.

profound acceptance and insight i find in this piece... we all have that special doorway to our heart... all different and all special... this piece grows on me... blessings...
