It rains (Rictameter) by Paganini Jones
it rains
softly on leaves,
on the green springtime leaves,
in the secret dark woodland glade.
it rains gently on new shoots, on bright buds.
it comes quiet like sweet sorrow,
like tears in a letter.
like lovers' tears
it rains

Posted by Maureen Glaude on 07/26/04 at 11:35 PM yes, my favorite too. I liked the centering as well. A bittersweetness leaks through the rain. |
