It rains (Rictameter)

by Paganini Jones

it rains
softly on leaves,
on the green springtime leaves,
in the secret dark woodland glade.
it rains gently on new shoots, on bright buds.
it comes quiet like sweet sorrow,
like tears in a letter.
like lovers' tears
it rains

yes, my favorite too. I liked the centering as well. A bittersweetness leaks through the rain.
