I'll be your badger by Traci MabatsI'd be your badger
But I don't look good in leggings
I'll be your stone cold killer
but I can't hit moving targets
(and I laugh when I try to shoot standing up)
I'd be your love slave
But Brittany Spears beat me to it
I'll be your calendar
but only on the odd days
I'd be your temporary insanity
But you'd plead guilty anyways
I'll be your reason
If you will be my rhyme
I'd be your baby
But I am already a mother
I'd be your night in shining armor
But I'll be gone by sunrise
I'll be your badger, baby
(well...maybe)

Posted by Rula Shin on 07/21/04 at 06:21 PM You have some striking lines here Sharona, my favorite of all being, "I'd be your temporary insanity But you'd plead guilty anyways" - What a statement!! I'm going to wait till the exact right moment and say this to someone one day and take all the credit for myself! Mwahahaha! ;-) Great poem Sharona...although I'm not quite sure what the 'badger' is in reference to? Hmmm...

Posted by Alison McKenzie on 07/21/04 at 08:36 PM Oh, I love this, Sharona!! It's very endearing! I love the apparent free form associations (though I have a funny feeling you have all the keys). |
Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 07/22/04 at 05:13 PM Entertaining read Sharona. I especially like these lines: I'll be your calendar
but only on the odd days.
