Man; The Killer Angel

by Jersey D Gibson

We've stood along the rocky lands,
made footprints in blistering sands.
The sun is murder, the blood hath call,
fight through obsticles, break down walls.
Bullets ring with the pealing bell,
screaming vengence, Man; the killer angel.

With spirits broken, and tempers frayed,
over the piles of bodies we've made.
Always move forward, never look back,
measure your life up to the next attack.
The path we crossed is the road to hell,
unflinching determination, Man; the killer angel.

We traded homes for blood and gore,
our families wouldn't recognize us anymore.
With grit in teeth, weapon in hand,
don't dare cross our steel-forged band.
Youre future home is where you fell,
without mercy, Man; the killer angel.

Songs are sung, the music played,
amazing we live this every day.
No time for heroes, no time for foes,
no time for glory, no time for woes.
When we'll stop, only time will tell,
never ceasing, Man; the killer angel.

Now we're back, the world we once knew,
all the normal things seem askew.
Praying for freedom, dreaming of death,
woar's in our blood with every breath.
You keep asking us if we're well,
unstoppable machine, Man; the killer angel.
