Big Red

by Charles E Minshall

He has a shiny
Bright red toy,
It's his truck
His pride and joy.

It has chrome headers
You can hear for miles,
Lights on the roof
With more on the dials.

It has a pumped V/8
With power to spare,
And stereo speakers
That will straighten your hair.

It has a gun rack
Behind the seat,
Also mag wheels
For show on the street.

It has lots of chrome
To dazzle the eye,
Even the rear axle
he got on a buy.

It is fully equipped
Except for one thing,
A woman beside him
To give it some Zing.

I like this poem for its topic and flow, plus the unexpected ending. Does it have DOHC, SOHC, or is it a super Turbo-charged engine? ;-)

Hahaha Yes, he has every thing but for the right kind of an impression, the necessary drive.

This is great! I can just see you surveying the neighborhood with that wonderful wit of yours...seeing the sublimely funny in everyday things.

LOL, you got me on that one Charlie. Wasn't expecting that ending at all, but it's so true. You men NEED us, but few admit it. *giggle*
PS: Riding dirt roads in a pick-up on a Sunday afternoon is my favorite past time. :)
