Haiku - rewrite

by Paganini Jones

two oak stumps
memories of the swing
we never built

06/23/2004

Author's Note: For those who were perturbed by the final image in the last version, maybe this one hints more gently at what the other was saying?

I never saw the other one, but I like the flow and imagery of this one. Yes, the unspoken meaning is clear, but could have several interpretations. Not having read the first one, I can only guess. Good work!

Oh, I love this. Perfect, and you know how I love swings.

Yes, much more impact than the previous version I find as it brings in a human element. Well done!

i like this one too, but the first one touched me on a deeper personal level.

I had to search through your stuff to find the other one, and yes I like this one much better. You get a sence of sadness/emptiness without the other word.
