stillborn twins 06/20/2004 Author's Note: I remember being pregnant, watching as 'they' cut those two trees down and weeping inconsolably.

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 06/22/04 at 01:24 PM I love the first two lines, and I understand the way you've used the word 'stillborn' in the third, although some may have a problem with it, as stillborn usually refers to death at birth, whereas these trees must have been cut down at an advanced age if they bore acorns. |
