MOMENT 10 by Graeme Fielden
my eyes are many callused
from the weight of your beauty
and my ears still bleed
from your final goodbye
the smell of your perfume
still lingers on pillows
where you wander like a wraith
haunting my dreams... 06/08/2004 Author's Note: This began life as an unfinished elergy - that I've chosen to turn into a "moment" 'cause I think it fits the genre...

Posted by Ashok Sharda on 06/08/04 at 01:52 AM Moment(s) of haunting? How will associations, having associations, with almost every thing external and within that surrounds our life, ever die? Not even in our dreams. Nice piece, Graeme. |

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 06/09/04 at 01:26 PM Yes, quite fitting as a moment Graeme. Reminds me of someone I know. Did you know that Melancholy is an old word for depression? Something I too slip in and out of, though not bi-polar or clinical. |
Posted by Michele Schottelkorb on 06/10/04 at 01:58 PM lushiously haunting, this be... wraith... that is an image... very fitting of our oft times callous and depressed society... with a touch of beauty... i love these moments... blessings :) |

Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 09/01/04 at 01:34 AM Eloguent! And as stated, "haunting". This poem lingers in my mind like the perfume. A bit disquieting. |
Posted by Max Bouillet on 10/23/04 at 01:38 AM A moment I would not like to feel ever again. The words stike a too familiar chord.... great read. |
