I'm the friend who never let's you down
The friend who'll be around
I'll catch you in your cliched spiral
Right before you hit the ground
But you would rather not discuss
The simple things inside of us
To make things right, there's only night
Tomorrow's only twilight
It's not hard to judge you've held
Your gaze you haven't budged an inch
Your silence shatters all these words
But I just keep on chiming in
So look me in the eyes again
and kiss me till I'm just a friend
