In the Form of an Apple by Barbara GriffithSimple and doubly simpler.
How else can you describe
enigmatic, sporadic behavior?
I see you in the form of an apple.
Curved in all the right places,
and appealing to most everyone.
I feel sorry for apples in the fall.
They drop down from their seat of glory.
And are either consumed, or left to rot. 06/03/2004 Author's Note: I heard she cried when she found out I had won....

Posted by Trisha De Gracia on 06/04/04 at 02:47 AM Yes. Another good "her" poem. Some apples don't get that theres a difference between feeling bad about your "bruises" and going "I fell! I fell! Oh everyone look at me1 i'm an apple! I fell!" |

Posted by Melanie J Yarbrough on 07/05/04 at 04:11 AM I think it's wonderful- even the explanation is poetic. you remind me of leelee sobieski- picture and (as I am an audio person) I hear all of your poems in her voice-- |
