In the Form of an Apple

by Barbara Griffith

Simple and doubly simpler.
How else can you describe
enigmatic, sporadic behavior?

I see you in the form of an apple.
Curved in all the right places,
and appealing to most everyone.

I feel sorry for apples in the fall.
They drop down from their seat of glory.
And are either consumed, or left to rot.

Yes. Another good "her" poem. Some apples don't get that theres a difference between feeling bad about your "bruises" and going "I fell! I fell! Oh everyone look at me1 i'm an apple! I fell!"

She shouldn't feel bad. At least you're a good actor. *Grinds Teeth*

Great poem, although the piece would be more effective without that first stanza.

I think it's wonderful- even the explanation is poetic. you remind me of leelee sobieski- picture and (as I am an audio person) I hear all of your poems in her voice--
