Just Don't...

by J. P. Davies

Don't bother,
it won't help me anymore.
Don't say it,
It isn't what it was before.

Just turn around,
Don't let me detain you.
Just say nothing,
like my charred remains do.

If that's all there is...just walk away
Don't say goodbye........just walk away
If that's all there is...just walk away
Don't say goodbye........just walk away

Don't look back,
it's the only past you're leaving
Don't think it over,
it's only self deceiving.

Just keep walking,
you'll lose yourself in time.
Just a new place,
one that's not quite mine.

If that's all there is...just walk away
Don't say goodbye........just walk away
If that's all there is...just walk away
Don't say goodbye........just walk away

Don't...I'm so tired
Just walk away
Don't...it never happened
Just make believe again

There are dreams when...
when you might look back.
But just close your eyes,
I'm never coming back.

There are times when,
when I might look back.
I'll just close my eyes,
You're never coming back.

Just walk away...
(Don't ever look back)
Just make believe...
(Don't let me catch you looking back)

Just Don't.
Just Don't.

this would make a great song! I really felt it, and the refrains. The "almost, well maybe, but no" of the will and the determination not to be sucked in again, yet poignance too. Beautiful.

Good rhythm and flow here with a subtly clear message throughout. Kudos most respectfully fellow lyricist.

I'll have to imagine the electric guitar riffs but if the lyrics are any indication, this one really rocks. Good stuff, J.P. Pe4ce...
