title already forgotten and you won't recognize a thing anymore by Olivia Weinkeinlove without death is
sky without stars.
i stand in the shadows
confess everything to broken
silverware, watch the sun touch down
to burn you.
oh were i a child again i would have
trapped you in a glass jar, watched you
shine shine shine,
released you at nightfall with no thoughts.
no thoughts at all.
even this poem will forget you by morning.
but i
but i
but i have lived enough years to know better.
you are what lives on the tip of my tongue,
what comes after as i write another lie
and wink in your general direction.
everything you've ever known about me is
false and i will break my own hands just to show
you.
