Earl The Squirrel

by Charles E Minshall

Earl the squirrel
Has lost a lot of weight,
But Earl's the cause
of his weight loss fate.

Earl the squirrel
Has a tail with a curl,
When he sits on the fence
He gives it a twirl.

Which knocks the acorns
Out of his cheek,
And the blue jay
Gets them with his beak.

Earl the squirrel
Should sit on the curl,
And not show off
With a fancy twirl.

What a vivid image you bring to mind. Everybody hates a showoff! Quite a fun read!!!!

As always your unique humor and perspective shines through here with this. Tho' I hate that they raid my birdfeeder, I can relate to the jay stealing their chow, and like it!
