The Rest Of My Life (Hah Hah)

by J. P. Davies

Here's to you in the sky,
with your fleet-footed style.
And the lessons we learned
before we slept in the morning.

Here's to us as a unit,
an explicable trial,
of moving and turning.
We're safe so it's time
for joyous sounds.

It's true you can't save me,
but baby it's easy
to put rest to
the whole of this strife.

I'm done to the core,
so don't worry no more.
I'll go on with the rest
of my life...

It's to the end of my rainbow
and back to the slo-mo.

Hey dear, did you miss me?
Do you wanna kiss me?

Well you already did,
on his lips. "Hah Hah"

Neat beat and flow to this one. Playful, but not without its serious side. The last line could give the poem a whole new meaning depending on how one takes it. Does it mean she's been unfaithful or is the 'he' meant as you?
