recovering.your.eyes

by J. P. Davies

I see it all the time,
it doesn't always register.
The sheen on skin,
wars the dull of eyes.

Clouds surely pass
before timely gazes.
Serenely shine out,
and the sun dries
the seasalt rain
from eyes who gasp.

Straighten posture,
or fly 'twixt ground
and stars. Before you,
before I, fall off.

Author's Note: Oh, this one came out well. I think my twisting juxtaposing last stanzas are becoming quite the habit...lol

Excellent poetics; love the abstract tone of this piece. Kudos!
